pastures 150 years ago, the land is being given a rest; protected from stock
and offered to those interested in restoring its bio-diversity and landscape values.

Mura Munjie: Ancient basalt, granite, gneiss and scheist boulders evoke heroic
grandeur. Down through rocky ravines the river Cobungra catapults, cascades,
pools, eddies and carves its way, creating a pristine fly fishing paradise.
Protected Alpine National Park and State Forest adjoin to the north.

  •	Waxy creamy candlebark trunks splashed with fushia pink and covered with new grey-green growth
  •	Romantic, grey-blue of the regenerating black sallee trees arise out of alpine daisy beds
  •	golden kangaroo and wallaby grasses- a seed pod ballet, dragonflies dancing with the will of the wind
  •	Spikey dianellas dotting the hills like echidnas
  •	Sub- alpine orchids, grevillias, ferns, protantheras, liverworts
  •	Silver wattles, snow gums, montane woodland

• RICH INDIGENOUS FAUNA
  

  •	Eastern Grey Kangaroos – kangaroos at dusk, jumping through golden pastures of kangaroo grasses, echoing the shapes and patterns of the hills on the horizon and the clouds over head.

  •	Forty bird species including- rare nesting Wedge-tailed Eagles, Superb Fairy Wren, Powerful Owl, Grey Shrike Thrush, Rufus Whistler, Spotted Pardalote, Pied Cormorant, Buff Rumped Thornbill, Brush Cuckoo, Black Fronted Dotterel, Brown Falcon, Southen Boobook, Diamond Firetail and Red Brown Finch
