About Mara Munjie

EAST OF HOTHAM
Here is the heart of something bigger than mountains, gorges, river and bush.
It speaks of what we came from and what we can return to. Mara Munjie tells
of the past and points to the future.

A SETTLEMENT TO LEAD THE WAY TO A BETTER PLANET.
Now, since the Gray/McNamara clans first drove their Herefords onto its native
pastures 150 years ago, the land is being given a rest; protected from stock
and offered to those interested in restoring its bio-diversity and landscape values.
The regeneration of the landscape has already commenced. Come join us to make
your mark towards saving the earth on this place of majestic beauty.

Mura Munjie: Ancient basalt, granite, gneiss and scheist boulders evoke heroic
grandeur. Down through rocky ravines the river Cobungra catapults, cascades,
pools, eddies and carves its way, creating a pristine fly fishing paradise.
Protected Alpine National Park and State Forest adjoin to the north.
